About Laurie Winslow

With more than 20 years human resource experience in talent development and talent management, including employee relations, corporate recruiting and executive search, Laurie brings a unique approach to her coaching practice. She believes there is a true vocation for every person, work that brings joy and challenge and passion to their life. She knows that the hardest part is finding the right path, and having the courage to take it. Her role as a career coach is to help her clients discover their true vocation, to develop their talents to meet the challenge, and achieve the joy and passion that comes from loving the work they do. As Laurie tells her clients, “Choose your path and walk it, and be the best that you can be”.

Laurie is a professional resume writer and is active in professional organizations including the International Coach Federation, Society for Human Resource Management, Houston Society for Healthcare Human Resource Administration and Texas Association of Health Care Recruitment.

Laurie was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in December 1983 from The University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with big hair and even bigger dreams. Laurie began her career in human resources by accident, trying to prove to her father that it was possible to get paid to do something that you loved. She refused to accept his belief that “if work was supposed to be fun, they would sell tickets to it instead of paying you to do it”. In fact, she has so enjoyed her experiences over the last 25 years, some days she wonders if maybe she should sell a ticket or two.
